for absolutely no reason and to end up where I started. Why bother crediting me the final spare change of that loan, acting sympathetic to the complicated situation I am in, and telling me my loan was now closed- if I would have to go through this entire process again to pay off the NSF fee? It has now been weeks of extra stress, hassle, calls back-and-forth. When I asked the Customer Service agent if there is anything they could do about those NSF fees considering the situation, she said they do not credit NSF fees. Turns out, they charged me two NSF fees for the $70.97 that had bounced- even though they had credited me that payment and told me I would owe nothing more. When I called to confirm again that the loan was closed, I was told I NOW owed $100. About a week later I received a letter stating that I owed $0- but it was just a payment record, and not a letter confirming the payoff of the loan. She told me my loan would be considered completed and that there would be no more payments as of that phone call. The person I spoke to at that time was very helpful, very kind, and very understanding- and she agreed that they would credit that $70.97, since it had already proven super difficult for me to close out the loan and I had clearly been trying my best to do so. I transferred the $70.97 and proceeded with the payment, but in the 5 business days it took for BMW to withdraw that, my ex husband had taken that money again (as I had already told the Customer Service agent would happen.) When I saw this, I immediately called Customer Service again and explained the situation again. I explained my situation to Customer Service and asked what options I have to pay the FINAL $70.97- and was told I could do another bank draft (which is very inconvenient), OR I would HAVE to use the joint account. It seems whoever had given me the original payoff total had been incorrect and didn't tell me about the warranty fee. $50 of that was an NSF FEE from them attempting to withdraw payment after I had provided them with the draft, and there was also $20.97 left owing on the warranty too. When that confirmation didn't arrive, I called Customer Service again and was told that I still owed a total of $70.97. Thinking that this was a mistake, I was dumb enough to ignore it and wait for documents confirming the closing of the loan. In that 10 business days, BMW Financial attempted to withdraw another car payment from the joint account but as there was no money in said account (since I had assumed providing the bank draft would cover that) the payment was obviously returned. Then, I was told it could take up to 10 business days to process the draft. I did so- driving three hours and dropping off the exact amount I was told was left owing. I was told how much would be owing, and that I could drop off the bank loan directly to their head office. To end this problem once and for all, I called BMW Financial and arranged to pay off the entirety of the loan via bank draft. Here's the issue: my ex-husband began stealing the money meant for my payments, and I was incurring late fees as a result. In order to pay my vehicle payments, I would have to transfer the money into that joint account. Therefore, all of my car payments were taken from a joint account belonging to both myself and him. My husband and I have since separated, and we were unable to refinance under my name. I have a somewhat complex situation, in that the vehicle I own was financed by my husband.

At this point I am thoroughly frustrated with BMW Financial Services, and their inconsistent customer service, delayed processing, and inconvenient payment methods.
